Jeff Mires was born and raised in Napoleon, Ohio. he worked for the U.S. Secret Service/Uniformed Division in Washington, D.C. for twenty-two years and retired as a lieutenant in 2010. Mr. Mires served as a Napoleon City Councilman for 3-1/2 years. Jeff was appointed Henry County Commissioner in March, 2020, and elected in November, 2020 to finish an unexpired term.
Commissioner Mires serves on the following boards: Family & children First, Henry County Transportation Network, Law Library, Litter Advisory, NW Ohio Juvenile Detention Center, Healthcare Cost Committee, Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), FEMA Food & Shelter Emergency Program, and The Henry County Senior Center.
Jeff is a member of the Napoleon Lions Club, Napoleon Alive, The Symphony of Trees Board, as well as the Lutheran Ministries of Mercy (LMM) Board.
